THE BIG LIE (6) - TV NEWS HAS NOT BECOME HARD-CORE PROPAGANDA & DISINFORMATION, AND IS NOT PERFORMED BY HIGHLY-PAID ACTORS & ACTRESSES

BBC Breakfast News was an obscenity today, Thursday, 26 July 2007.

Comments:
It's not just the TV of course but also the newspapers, below from todays's Daily Mirror is Miliband's explanation of why the UK has troops in Afghanistan, I have to admit that he's beginning to irritate me even more than Blair did. He's either totally ignorant or he learnt how to spin from the White House.

I will tell you why we are in Iraq, in May 2001 the Bush government was negotiating with the Taliban to lay the foundations for U.S. diplomatic recognition and pipelines for oil and natural gas. Washington saw the Taliban as a potential partner who could provide stability in Afghanistan and benefit from the construction of pipelines by U.S. corporations. The American officials told the Taliban, "Either you accept our offer of a carpet of gold, or we bury you under a carpet of bombs." The Taliban declined the offer and the rest is history. The truth is we are in Afghanistan to help promote American attempts at world domination and for their economic reasons. The Afghans had nothing at all to do with 9/11 or Bin Laden's involvement, indeed at one time they even offered to hand him over.

Miliband mentions "Because of the enormous cost of heroin use and the related crime on our streets.". Doesn't he know that before the invasion the Taliban had just about eliminated the heroin crop? Perhaps Miliband should read this; "Britain is protecting the biggest heroin crop of all time."

Afghanistan: Why we are there

By David Miliband Foreign Secretary 26/07/2007

"I will tell you why we are in Iraq"

That should read "I will tell you why we are in Afghanistan"

Exactly, Michael. Many people tend to forget, or rather have not been sufficiently informed from the very beginning of these invasions and before they took place.

They gather their opinions from present news without any reference to the old ones which started everything.
