Submission Procedure
Simply submit below your favourite, best examples of political writing.
Examples can be written by Others :

And Examples can be written by You.
You can submit as many examples as you like - and they can include Letters, Articles, Essays, Lectures, Speeches, Books and Parts of Books - Past and Present.
Submissions and Awards
Submissions will be judged at the South Stoke Festival of Thought in April 2008 - and the winning entry will be awarded "The Orwellium Crystal".

Who judges this? And can we go back more than 50 years? If you can get 60 year old tracts by Orwell, why not just slap in Plato's Republic
Who judges this ?
Well-known writers who have achieved a reputation for writing clearly - whatever their political/philosophical/religious persuasion....and if they 'turn their nose up' to an invitation to the South Stoke Festival of Thought, then whoever turns up can be judges if they want to. If nobody turns up, except me, then I'll have to judge, won't I ?!
We can go back 5000 years and beyond, Danivon - the only qualification is crystal clear thought in words.
Plato and his 'Republic' ? Let the 'judges' decide in April :)
