"It is easy to understand an observation by one of Israel's leading military historians, Martin van Creveld. After the U.S. invaded Iraq, knowing it to be defenseless, he noted, "Had the Iranians not tried to build nuclear weapons, they would be crazy."
Iran has always claimed that it is not for nuclear armament it is enriching Uranium, but even if it were so, that precedent of the Iraq's invasion would be sufficient to explain it, if the aggressive attitude of Israel were not a valid reason for it.
